Danes sta nas obiskala guverner Boštjan Vrhovšek, asistent guvernerja Damjan Rotter in njegov pomočnik Simeon Špruk.
Today, we were visited by Governor Boštjan Vrhovšek, Assistant Governor Damjan Rotter, and his assistant Simeon Špruk. The meeting was meant to present the workings of the club, its past activities, and plans for the future. The members of the Rotary Club Kranj introduced the governor to the main directions of our work, which we shaped together during a brainstorming session in the spring and will use as a guide for our future work.
Some of the club’s major projects and activities include ‘You Are an Angel Too,’ the Summer School ‘Path to Success,‘ the traditional joint event with the Lions ‘Let’s Connect,‘ and support for the ELA Africa project. The club also places special focus on recruiting new members, collaborating with Rotaract and Interact clubs, environmental and sustainability topics, and connecting members through mentorship under the program ‘From Experience to Ambition.’
An important part of the plans is also strengthening the club’s communication and visibility, as we want to bring our projects and their impact closer to the wider public and, through quality storytelling, show how Rotary contributes to the community through its activities.
The meeting was an opportunity for an open discussion about the challenges and opportunities the club faces, as well as for exchanging ideas and experiences. The governor welcomed the clearly outlined guidelines and the members’ readiness to continue contributing to the community’s well-being through concrete projects.
The visit took place in a pleasant and encouraging atmosphere. Governor Boštjan Vrhovšek thanked President Matej Rihter and the members of the Rotary Club of Kranj for their warm welcome, for presenting their work, and for their dedication to the projects through which they fulfill Rotary’s mission.
