Tabor je bil izveden v sodelovanju s Centrom KORAK za osebe s pridobljeno možgansko poškodbo in Odsekom Nejca Zaplotnika Planinskega društva Kranj.
V zadnjih dneh avgusta sva vodnika Planinskega društva Kranj – Odseka Nejca Zaplotnika, Marija Jesihar in Grega Eržen, skupaj z udeleženci Centra KORAK, Kranj preživela nepozaben 2. gorniški tabor na Uskovnici na Pokljuki.
Tabor je potekal ob strokovni podpori Centra KORAK iz Kranja v okviru nadstandardnega programa, namenjenega rehabilitaciji oseb po pridobljeni možganski poškodbi. Glavni cilj tabora je bil spodbujanje hoje po zahtevnem, neravnem terenu, razvoj novih spretnosti ter pridobivanje izkušenj v drugačnem okolju. Prav tako je bil namenjen kakovostnemu in sproščenemu preživljanju časa v naravi. Gorniški tabor je zaznamovalo veselje, dobra volja in številni topli spomini.
Čez dan smo raziskovali planinske poti v okolici. Podali smo se na planino Zajamnike, kjer nas je očaral pogled na idilične pašnike in pastirske koče. Obiskali smo tudi planino Konjščico, ki slovi po svoji lepoti in razgledih, ter spoznavali še druge kotičke Pokljuke.
Večere smo preživeli z obujanjem spominov preteklega dneva in družabnih aktivnostih. Prijetno vzdušje je dokazalo, da so trenutki skupne aktivnosti in druženja tisti, ki nas najbolj povezujejo.
Nenazadnje je vsak dan prinesel nova doživetja, prijateljstva in planinske izzive, ki smo jih premagovali z dobro voljo in ekipnim duhom.
Posebno zahvalo namenjamo tudi prijaznima oskrbnikoma Koče na Uskovnici, Stanetu in Katici, ki sta nas s svojo gostoljubnostjo in odlično domačo hrano resnično razvajala in poskrbela, da smo se počutili kot doma.
Eden od udeležencev je svoje doživetje opisal takole:
»Avgusta sem se že drugič udeležil planinskega tabora, ki sta ga organizirala Center Korak in Planinsko društvo Kranj. Tudi tokrat mi je bilo zelo lepo. Najbolj sem užival v pohodih, še posebej na poti do Zajamnikov, kjer me je navdušila lepa narava in čudovit razgled. Vodniki so bili prijazni, znali so nas varno voditi in so vedno upoštevali, kako se počutimo. Celoten tabor je bil prijetna in lepa izkušnja. Vesel sem, da sem bil lahko del tega tabora, in se že veselim naslednjega.«
Center KORAK, Kranj se posebej zahvaljuje tudi Rotary Klubu Kranj, ki je z donancijo v višini 2000 € omogočil izvedbo planinskega tabora.
Zahvala tudi Odseku Nejca Zaplotnika Planinskega društva Kranj za podporo in sodelovanje na sedaj že tradicionalnem planinskem taboru na Uskovnici, ki je bil več kot le nekaj dni v gorah – bil je priložnost za povezovanje, solidarnost in za skupno ustvarjanje nepozabnih spominov.

In the last days of August, the guides of the Kranj Mountaineering Association – Nejc Zaplotnik Department, Marija Jesihar and Grega Eržen, together with participants from the KORAK Center, Kranj, spent an unforgettable 2nd mountaineering camp at Uskovnica in Pokljuka.
The camp was held with the professional support of the KORAK Center from Kranj as part of a superior program designed to rehabilitate people after acquired brain injury. The main goal of the camp was to encourage walking on challenging, uneven terrain, develop new skills and gain experience in a different environment. It was also intended to spend quality and relaxed time in nature. The mountaineering camp was marked by joy, goodwill and numerous warm memories.
During the day, we explored the mountain trails in the area. We went to the Zajamnike mountain, where we were enchanted by the view of idyllic pastures and shepherd’s huts. We also visited the Konjščica mountain, which is famous for its beauty and views, and got to know other corners of Pokljuka.
We spent the evenings reminiscing about the past day and engaging in social activities. The pleasant atmosphere proved that moments of shared activity and socializing are the ones that connect us the most.
Last but not least, every day brought new experiences, friendships and mountain challenges, which we overcame with good will and team spirit.
We also want to give special thanks to the friendly caretakers of the Uskovnici Hut, Stane and Katica, who truly spoiled us with their hospitality and excellent homemade food and made us feel at home.
One of the participants described his experience as follows:
“In August, I participated in the mountaineering camp organized by the Korak Center and the Kranj Mountaineering Association for the second time. I had a great time again. I enjoyed the hikes the most, especially on the way to Zajamnik, where I was impressed by the beautiful nature and the wonderful view. The guides were friendly, they knew how to lead us safely and always took into account how we felt. The entire camp was a pleasant and beautiful experience. I am glad that I was able to be a part of this camp, and I am already looking forward to the next one.”
The KORAK Center, Kranj would also like to express its special gratitude to the Rotary Club Kranj, which made the mountaineering camp possible with a donation of €2,000.
Thanks also to the Nejc Zaplotnik Section of the Kranj Mountaineering Association for their support and cooperation at the now traditional mountaineering camp at Uskovnica, which lasted more than just a few days in the mountains – it was an opportunity for connection, solidarity and for creating unforgettable memories together.
